 As with the Greenlip Abalone the processiing of IQF Blacklip Abalone occurs very quickly to ensure quality throughout. Fish are sourced from around pristine Tasmanian coastal waters. The size grading is the same as IQF Greenlip Abalone i.e. small, medium, large and extra large.

Only Abalone caught in Tasmania's clean waters is used to produce a range of can sizes (213g, 180g, 150g) marketed domestically and exported under the Big Dragon and Adelaide Bay brand names. Export cans are available in 1, 1 1/2, 2, 3 and 4 whole pieces per can.

Big Dragon Brand Retorted Blacklip Abalone |
 Tasmanian Blacklip Abalone are selected for quality and packaged in a variety of weights and pieces ranging from 1 to 7 pieces per retort pouch. The abalone are cooked in the pouch retaining all the flavours and juices of the abalone and is ready to eat and can be re-cooked for stir-fry etc. The products has a minimum shelf life of 2 years without refrigeration.
